



Parimal Chandra Ray is a Wildlife Biologist & Wildlife Photographer, who is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree from the Department of Forestry, North North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology, Arunachal Pradesh, India. His current research of interest is on the Western Hoolock Gibbon (an Endangered lesser ape species as per IUCN, 2014) of Namdapha National park, Arunachal Pradesh, India.
He had a past research experience of more than six years. He worked and explored many wilderness areas of Northeast India. His past research works were mostly on the species exploration, field works and conducting community conservation programs in the remotest areas situated in the NE India.
He has also contributed many research articles and scientific publications in many reputed magazines and scientific journals for the biodiversity conservation of many species of Northeast India.
His motives behind choosing this profession is to study the species in wild along with documentating facts and figures that he can share with local peoples, students, his friends and others for empowering the conservation of these magnificent creatures.
